Check in was great & so we're the ER staff. They did have to wait & see if His condition got better. He did not so they took him Barnes-Jewish. The downside is, the can't find the meds We brought, nor his ID & Insurance cards back.

Worst ER visit ever. Got checked in pretty quickly. Once they took me back to a room they took me to a tiny room with no TV and a prison style sink back in the back corner. Nurse came in and introduced herself. That was the one and only time anyone came in my room. As she walked out she said the doctor would be in soon. 2 hours later with no one coming in and not even a TV to watch to pass the time I walked out. As i was walking out someone at the desk told me to have a good night. Told them i was leaving as no one had come back and seen me. Not one time did anyone come in to check on me or let me know anything. I will not go back here!! Such a disgrace to the BJC name!!

This place is a joke and giving b.j.c a bad name. Please read these reviews. The over night nurses are so rude and unprofessional. We had to go to higher management to do formal complaints. The doctors were incompetent and that I will see a lawyer. Also while in the e.r the doctor was watching you tube videos while people were waiting hours to see a doctor. I live 5 minutes away and will never go to this hospital again. I will pay extra to go somewhere else.
My fiancé woke up one morning and had serious back pain and pain shooting down his leg. We got him to Progress West, he got a X-ray, they said if he got worse then he should come back, then sent us on our way. The next day, he physically could not move. Since things got worse, we took him back to Progress West. He had to be carried out to the car and then carried into the hospital by 2 security guards and a nurse. We told them what was going on, that things had gotten severely worse, and that he needed a MRI. The doctor (same doctor we saw the day before) said there was nothing they could do and that they would only do a MRI if it were an emergency. They sent us home (he had to be recarried out to the car) because apparently not walking is not considered an emergency. Here we are 2 months later, at a different hospital, as my fiancé is going in for back surgery.
